Tolani Alli is the brain behind most of the iconic photos of Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON.

For those who may not know.

This ‘hat wearing’ lady was on the verge of studying medicine when a chance encounter with Aston Kutcher (American actor, model, producer, and entrepreneur) advertising a Nikon D3000 on TV changed her course forever.

A distinguished alumnus of The University of Michigan, and a photographer extraordinaire whose works have been featured on global media platforms.

She soon had the opportunity to prove her worth when she became the personal documentary photographer to the Late Sen. Isiaka Ajimobi during his second tenure as the Governor of Oyo State, thereby making her the first ever female documentary photographer since the State’s creation.

For someone who has mastered the art of composing images that document the special moments that occur in one’s lifetime, it did not come as a surprise when she became the Vice President’s photographer.

She’s good at what she does.

In an interview that she granted in 2017, she told the reporter that it is her desire to take the world on a journey that ends when she ends, and that she would want to be remembered as; ‘Tolani Alli: The woman with the hat that changed the game’.

You see.

If there is one thing that the Vice President shares with his personal photographer, it is his ability to change the game, and this is exactly what he is set to do.

According to reports, the Vice President has finally informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his desire to take over from him at the expiration of his tenure in 2023.

Though this intention has not been made public, the report states that the Vice-President desires to consolidate on the achievements that has been recorded since the APC took over from the PDP in 2015.

If this report is anything to go by, the coming days will be interesting, as the VP will have to contend for the APC Presidential ticket with some principalities and powers, notable among them being Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has also notified the President of his intention to run.

You see.

I may not be able to tell you if the Vice President will emerge as the presidential flagbearer of the APC, or if he will become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.

Nevertheless.

One thing I can categorically tell you is this.

Tolani Alli will be on ground to document the journey with iconic photos!
