Meghan Markle has become a household name these days, her name is on the lips of everyone who is addicted and obsessed with the royal family in England. And we won’t be left out of these juicy tales. It all started with the rumour that Meghan and Prince Harry are having a secret romantic relationship.
God bless the soul that let the cat out of the bag. You know what they say, there is always an element of truth in every rumour. And so, it was that 35year old Meghan Markle got swept off in the wind of the internet tornado and has become a cinderella whose Prince Charming is no other person than Prince Harry.
Wow! We hear the dating episode all started in June and July when Prince Harry began wooing Meghan and was also secretly dating Sarah Ann Macklin according to reports from Mail.
But there is more we all need to know about this super cutie and sexy celebrity. For starters, she is an American actress in the American TV legal drama series suits, she bears her real first name Rachel in the American TV legal drama but with a different surname Rachel Zane. She is a humanitarian, a business woman, owner of a lifestyle website called The Tig, a foodie and she lives in Toronto, Canada with her rescue dogs. She was once married to Trevor Engleson in 2011 and the marriage ended in 2013. But we all know these things about Meghan.
She has reportedly visited Prince Charles and she is reportedly set to visit Prince Williams and Kate Middleton -The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge according to the Sun.
We even hear she is firm friends with Princess Eugenia. Hmmmm!!!! And they all attended a party together that is Princess Eugenia and her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank; Prince Harry and Meghan in Toronto’s soho house during the Halloween weekend when, Prince Harry visited Meghan according to reports from Mirror.
While her date with Prince Harry is yet to be officially confirmed by both love birds, the press strongly believes that they are dating with news like ‘Royal family’s ex butler confirms Prince Harry is besotted with Meghan Markle, says she could be the one.’ ‘Prince Harry Is So Smitten With US TV star Meghan Markle’ etc And if that is correct, then here is what we should be dissecting about this union.
Will Prince Harry be allowed by the powers that be to marry Meghan Markle?
Divorcee
Meghan has had little or no bad press at all and she is quite beautiful. I could say she is fit to be called a Princess and she would be one hot Princess if the relationship gets to that stage. She also has a nice personality at least that can be gleaned from being a humanitarian, at least she would easily slid into the shoes and perform her royal duties with ease. But one tiny glitch that might make a wedding with Prince Harry impossible is her previous marriage to Engleson and eventual divorce. That’s like a spot on her spotless record.
Let us walk down memory lane, the crown hates divorce, so much so that the new American- British Tv series called ‘The Crown’ which is on the life of Queen Elizabeth II and by the side on Princess Margaret’s love life. In reality Princess Margaret- Queen Elizabeth’s younger sister who was third in line to succession was not allowed to marry a divorcee- Captain Peter Townsend. Will the Queen as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England which forbade divorce and marriage to divorced persons permit Prince Harry (the fifth in line to the throne) without some sort of repercussion such as abdication to marry Meghan? And would Prince Harry’s love for her be stronger than his love for his royal duties and country?
Will the modern trend wash away the strong beliefs of the Crown on marrying a woman or man who is a divorcee? Is this an act that can be looked away or waved by the crown? That is a tough question that only time and actions would answer.
And don’t think for one second that the Queen’s approval is not needed as all royal marriages are required by the Royal Marriages Act 1772 to obtain the consent of the Queen.

Yes, it is only acting but the Crown has been associated with decency and public morality for decades, so will they be able to overlook Meghan’s hot passionate role as a para legal in the American legal drama Suits? Meghan was born in Los Angeles County, California and is of a mixed race – her dad is Caucasian and her mother is African- American. That accounts for her lustrous beauty. She has a half-sister as well. Now, let’s face it, the British are very picky, how much more of the crown. While her father -Thomas W. Markle was a director of photography and her mother- Doria had a masters in Social work and worked as a yoga therapist. Her half-sister Samantha Grant according to Mailonline has stated that Meghan is not the humanitarian we think she is. She has painted Meghan as a ‘narcissistic and selfish’ person. She further said Meghan is a social climber and has always wanted to be a princess from childhood. While the words mean nothing to us, it just tells us about the family rift in Meghan’s family. It might be borne out of jealousy or out of the truth or whatever. But will the royal family want to be involved in such drama? Where a sister slays another sister with words publicly and to the press?
Ok, enough of the brooding, the romance might just still be at its infant stage and heading to the altar may be far from it. But if that ever happens? Will all these be swept away and the union allowed to take place? That is a question for the powers that be.

Now, let’s take a look at Meghan Markle as a royal fashion icon. If that ever happens, the celebrity already has a great fashion sense and she also applies decency in her fashion. What’s there to tell? She makes everything she wears looks extra ordinary as her killer shape is always ready to take the beauty of the clothes she wears to the next level. Starting from her pencil skirts and her formal shirts in suits, to her blazers and her lovely dresses.
