A middle-aged man was, yesterday, killed in a road accident in Imiringi axis along the Yenagoa-Ogbia Road in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State Vanguard reports..

It was gathered that the deceased, the only occupant of the vehicle, was driving a red Toyota Camry salon car with number plates FKJ 821 DJ, when the car skidded off the road into a swamp along the road killing, the man instantly. An eyewitness said the driver was on speed when the incident occurred yesterday morning, adding that it was difficult to rescue the victim. It took the intervention of some soldiers attached to the Kolo-Creek Flow Station, who mobilised the natives to hire a pay loader with which the car and the corpse were retrieved.
