I am naturally a revolutionary, I revolt at everything even when it is the best thing for me to do. Once it comes out of the mouth of my parents, I rebel against it. I can destroy my career from revolting. I just dislike being told what to do and how to do it. People call it advise others call it control but to me it is all the same thing.
But something struck me recently, most great people who created things that the world is thankful for never had a mentor. They mentored their selves and they inspired their selves into success.
Let us take Walt Disney for example, he pursued his passion and lost everything at some point except his passion, Today his great great great grandchildren will and can never beg for bread.
Another thing we need to know to become great minds is sacrifice, a lot of us are unwilling to make sacrifice, hence the saying “Make I work for another person to come enjoy the wealth.”
With that attitude we can only achieve less.
It is said that a person’s true nature and worth are only known in times of challenges. So, if we admire the good works of others and never admire their persistence and struggles to achieve that success, we cannot be better than them.
Inspire yourself by knowing what you want and going for it, most people are lost in life moving around aimlessly even though they have a job because they do not know what they want.
Most people are not successful today because they do not know what they want.
Most people go through processes to please others because they do not know what they want.
It is not called rebellion when you refuse to take the well charted path carved out by your parents, guardians or friends. It is creativity at its peak. Fela Kuti did it and became known as one of the greatest Afro beat musician.
You too can do it. Get to work and Inspire yourself. Because your talents will always speak for you.
Cheers!
