We have all heard of Simone Biles of late. So those of us out there who derive pleasure in using past experiences to define our inability to succeed in life should think again.
Born 14 March, 1997 to an alcoholic and drug addict mother
She lived in a foster home until rescued temporary in 2000 by her grandfather and step grand mother
Officially adopted by her Grandparents in 2003.
She had a passion for gymnastics at 6 years old when she tried it on a day-care field trip.
Today, she is known as the most decorated American female gymnast in world championship history.
Simone Biles has bagged 14 medals, 10 of which are gold medals.
She won 3 consecutive world all around titles
She is the 2016 Olympic all around champion.
Now, that’s a 19years old girl who used her discomfort and pain to achieve great success. She turned around her situation as she never let the circumstances of her birth and childhood get to her. You too can be like Simone Biles and achieve greatness notwithstanding your past circumstances. No sin is too grave or no pain is too great to pin you down. Use that pain as a weapon to achieve greatness. And each time you feel you can’t go on remember Simone Biles who was not deterred by her mother’s addiction, who did not stay in a hole and cry all her life because she does not know her father. No, she rather worked to make something out of her life and at age 19 the whole world knows her. The world can know you and love you too but that decision is entirely yours. If you have been inspired, stand up from that situation, leave the shadows of your past behind and match on to a life of great achievements.
