An alligator has been removed from a pond near an assisted-living facility where the body of an elderly woman was found earlier this week.

Department of Natural Resources workers captured and removed the alligator Friday morning.

It is not yet known if the alligator is connected to the death of 90-year-old Bonnie Walker, who was reported missing from the Brookdale Senior Living Center early Wednesday.

Walker’s body was found in the pond near the facility Wednesday afternoon.

Officials are expected to release more information in the case reported WYFF.
