Kaduna State government on Tuesday, issued a 90-day ultimatum to land owners, charging them to develop their abandoned plots or get them revoked.
The government gave the ultimatum through the Director General of Kaduna State Geographic Information Service, KADGIS, Hussaini Ibrahim, in a statement made available to newsmen in the state.
The development would affect only those who have abandoned and undeveloped property that are within areas serviced by basic and primary infrastructure in the metropolitan centres in the State. Ibrahim added that such abandoned property constituted security and environmental risks to the people of the state.
According to him, “The State government is implementing a vigorous urban upgrade programme, intended to improve the living standards of residents, make the cities of Kaduna, Kafanchan and Zaria more orderly and enhance security.
“All undeveloped carve-out plots stand revoked. Revocation notices have been duly issued and served to all allottees. This notice further serves as a legal notice of the revocation. For more details visit Daily Post.
